  • Do you help carry gear to the beach?
We do. If you’ve got equipment with you, we’ll help get it down to the beach. Some days we assist more, some days we carry less — but you won’t be left to handle everything alone.
  • What time of day is best for lessons?
Usually, mornings offer calmer wind and flatter water. But we’ll recommend a time based on the sport you’re learning and the forecast that week.
  • How do I book a lesson?
Just message us with the date and time you’re interested in. We’ll confirm availability and help you prepare. Advance booking is best, especially on weekends.
  • Do I need to book in advance or can I just walk in?
We recommend booking in advance so we can check wind conditions and arrange instructors. Walk-ins are possible but subject to availability.
  • Do you offer lessons in other languages?
All lessons are in English or Thai. Some instructors speak other languages, so feel free to ask and we’ll try to accommodate.
  • Do I need to be fit to take a lesson?
You don’t need to be super fit. Just being comfortable in the water and able to move freely is enough. We adjust to your level and energy.
  • What should I bring for my lesson?
Swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, and ideally a long-sleeve top (especially during jellyfish season: July–September). We provide the rest — including helmets and impact vests if needed.
  • Can I split my lesson hours over multiple days?
Yes, only for multi-hour courses. You don’t need to finish everything in one day — we can spread it out to match your schedule and energy. The minimum time deducted per session is 0.5-1 hour, depending on the course.
  • Are all lessons private or in groups?
Most of our lessons are private — one-on-one with your instructor — so you’ll have full attention and can learn at your own pace. For SUP, we can take up to 3 students per instructor if you're coming together. And if your group is 15 people or more, we’re happy to organize a custom course — just let us know at least one week in advance so we can plan properly.
  • Can I book a lesson even if I can’t swim?
For safety, we recommend basic swimming ability for most sports. But feel free to ask — in some cases, with a life jacket and close supervision, we may be able to adjust.
  • What happens if there’s no wind on the day of my lesson?
If the wind is too light to continue, you’ll only be charged for time used. Remaining time can be rescheduled or used on a later visit.
  • What if the wind or weather isn’t good on the day I booked?
We’ll keep an eye on the conditions and update you. If it’s not safe or not ideal, we can reschedule or adjust your session — no stress.
  • Can kids take lessons too?
Yes. We welcome kids and adjust lessons to their size, focus, and attention span. Safety and fun come first.
  • Can I use my own gear instead of renting?
Yes — you’re welcome to launch with personal gear. There’s a 100 THB/day launch fee, and we also offer gear storage plans if you visit often.
  • What kind of gear do you offer for rental?
We rent equipment for: Kitesurfing (Twin Tip & Foil) Wingfoiling (Full setup) Windsurfing (Beginner, Intermediate, Foil) SUP Sailing (Hobie Wave, T2, Getaway) Gear is adjusted to your level and wind conditions.
  • Do I need to pay extra for that first-hour instructor?
Yes — the instructor fee (400–500 THB/hour, depending on the sport) is not included in the rental price. It will be added separately to your first rental session, as it covers your safety check and guidance during that first hour. After that, if you're cleared to ride on your own, you’ll only pay the regular rental price for future sessions.
  • Can I rent equipment without experience?
For most sports, no. We don’t rent to complete beginners or those with very little experience — safety comes first. The only exception is SUP, which is beginner-friendly and can be rented without a lesson. If you’re new to the sport, we recommend starting with a lesson first. It’s the safest and fastest way to enjoy your time on the water — and it helps you build the confidence needed for future rentals.
  • Why do I need an instructor during the first hour?
To keep things safe for everyone. The first hour is used to assess your control, decision-making, and local awareness. If everything looks good, you’re free to continue without guidance.
  • What rental options are available?
We offer: Hourly rentals – Flexible and great for short sessions 3-hour packages – Must be used in one continuous session (not split across the day) 10-hour tickets – Can be used over multiple days, with hours deducted as you go
  • What happens if the wind drops while I’m renting?
We rent by the hour, with a minimum of 1 hour per session — even if you only plan to ride for part of that time. If the wind drops, it’s still a good time to practice light-wind control, balance, and transitions — which are all part of progressing in any wind sport. We always encourage riding within your limits and learning in all kinds of conditions. Light wind doesn’t mean wasted time — it just shifts the focus of your session.
  • Can I carry over unused rental time?
Only 10-hour tickets can be used across multiple days. The minimum time deducted per session is 1 hour, even if you go out for a shorter ride that day. Hourly rentals and 3-hour packages must be used in one continuous session and can’t be carried over.
  • Do I need to book in advance for rentals?
Booking ahead is always a good idea, especially for weekends or high-wind days. It also helps us arrange an instructor if it’s your first time renting that sport.
  • Can I switch gear if the wind changes?
Yes — if something isn’t working or conditions change, we’ll do our best to adjust the setup, depending on availability.
  • What gear is included when I rent?
You’ll get the full setup for your sport — board, sail/wing/kite, foil (if needed), and harness. We also include helmets and life vests where necessary.
  • What should I bring?
Bring swimwear, towel, sunscreen, and optionally a long-sleeve top — especially during jellyfish season (July–September). We take care of the rest.
  • I’ve done this sport before. Can I rent?
If you have some experience, we’ll ask you to do 1 hour with an instructor during your first rental session. This is not a lesson — it’s a safety check and helps you get familiar with local conditions. After that, you can rent on your own.
  • What’s the best time of year for kitesurfing in Pattaya?
The wind is most consistent from mid-October to February, especially for learning. But depending on the season, there are also strong-wind days during the monsoon (June–August).
  • What’s included in the lesson price?
All equipment is included — kite, board, harness, helmet, vest, and instructor. You only need to bring swimwear, a towel, and sun protection.
  • What if I don’t finish all my lesson or rental hours?
It depends on what you booked: If you purchased a 10-hour package, yes — you can carry over any unused hours and continue next time. If you booked the 1-day course or the 3-hour rental package, those are same-day only and must be used in full on that day. They’re designed as all-in-one sessions and can’t be split across multiple visits. So if you’re looking for something more flexible, the 10-hour ticket is your best option.
  • Do I need to know how to swim?
Basic swimming is recommended for safety. We provide life jackets, but being confident in the water helps you learn faster and stay calm.
  • Can I store my own gear at your club?
Yes — we offer short-term and long-term gear storage. Daily launch fee is 100 THB if you're using your own equipment.

No. Kitesurfing is more about timing and control than strength. You’ll use a harness to take the load — not your arms.

Yes — we’re beginner-friendly. The wind is steady but not overpowering, and the beach is usually calm enough to learn without pressure.
  • How many hours do I need to ride on my own?
Most people need 6–10 hours to stand up and ride short distances. It also depends on your water confidence, balance, and how often you practice.

We don’t issue formal IKO certificates, but we’ll let you know honestly when you're ready to rent or ride independently.
  • Do you offer safety gear like helmets and vests?
Yes. We provide helmets and impact vests for all foil-based lessons. Let us know your size when you book, and we’ll get everything ready.
  • Do you offer rental for wingfoil equipment?
Yes. Once you're able to ride safely on your own, you can rent full setups by the hour. Rental includes the wing, foil board, and foil. Wingfoil rental: 1,000 THB/hour 10-hour package: 9,000 THB
  • What if the wind isn’t strong enough that day?
We’ll let you know in advance if the wind looks too light for wingfoiling. Sometimes we’ll recommend switching to SUP or foil-practice behind the boat instead — it’s still fun and productive.
  • How is the lesson structured at Clubloongchat?
We break wingfoil training into 3 parts: Wing control on a SUP board (1,200 THB/hour) Foil board behind a boat — to learn how to balance and fly (2,500 THB/hour or 1,500 THB/half hour) Full wingfoil session with both wing and foil on water (1,500 THB/hour) You can book by the hour or take the full 8-hour course (9,500 THB) and split it over multiple days.
  • What are the best conditions for learning wingfoiling in Pattaya?

Not at all. Many people start from zero. If you’ve done windsurfing, kiting, or even snowboarding, it helps — but we’ll guide you step by step.
  • Can I split the 8-hour Wingfoil course over two or three days?
Yes, it can be spread over multiple days. We usually recommend 2–3 hours per session.
  • Can I launch my own wingfoil gear at your beach?

  • Can I take breaks or split the lessons over several days?
Yes — if you book the 8-hour wingfoil course, you can split it across multiple days. But if you're booking by the hour, each session is separate and must be used that day. The course is designed to give you flexibility over time — hourly lessons are for one-time sessions.
  • What is wingfoiling, and how is it different from windsurfing or kitesurfing?
Wingfoiling uses a handheld wing (no lines) and a board with a hydrofoil underneath. It’s slower to start than kitesurfing, but once you're up on the foil, it's smooth and silent. Unlike windsurfing, you’re not fixed to the sail — you hold the wing freely, which feels more playful and mobile.

Yes, we teach complete beginners starting with wing control on a SUP before moving to the foil.
  • Do I need any prior experience or balance training?

Most of the time, we start with the Hobie Getaway because it’s more comfortable and fun for 2–3 people. But if you really want to learn how to sail and understand wind direction, the Hobie Wave is easier — it has just one sail, which makes things simpler when you're starting out. The T2 and Getaway both have two sails, so they offer more to play with once you’re ready.
